GOLD CAMEROON ASGM

GOLD CAMEROON-ASGM, headed by Eyoum Marcel, is an association of artisanal gold mining cooperatives based in Batouri, East Region of Cameroon. We are the owners and sellers of the gold we mine from our cooperative-owned mining operations. We supply gold directly to qualified buyers and provide a structured and transparent process for gold trading and export from Cameroon. Our cooperative structure enables miners to manage their operations, control their gold production, and participate directly in its commercialization.

Encouraged by the government to organise ourselves into a cooperative, we established GOLD CAMEROON-ASGM. Our primary objective in coming together is to address the common abuses and challenges faced by miners when selling the gold we mine, particularly when dealing with middlemen.

Being the owners and sellers of the Gold we mined, our ultimate goal is to improve the socio-economic welfare of our miners by increasing their financial returns, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and local development. This is the vision to which we have firmly committed ourselves.
